LIBRARY TECHNICIAN POSITION

Bulletin No. L11-3            June 29, 2010

Polson School                   Library Technician
                                          .50 Time 7 hours/day (days 2, 4, 6 - 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)
                                          10 months per year
                                          Effective-Aug. 30/10


Duties:

  • In accordance with the general job description for library technicians


Qualifications:

  • Library and Information Technology Diploma, Library Technician or Library Training Program Certificate, or a demonstrated commitment to complete such training required
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with teachers and students
  • Experience working in a school library required, knowledge & skill in working with automated library systems an asset
  • Proficiency in computers (knowledge of Internet search/upkeep) an asset

Candidates from CUPE 3873 will be given first priority.

Salary range: Class A - $17.39-$20.16 per hour
                        Class B - $18.50-$21.25 per hour
