We are only 6 short days away from the start of the Manitoba Libraries Conference!

If you haven't already, don't forget to register for some of the great events we have planned.  

  • On May 12th you can attend the Red River College Anniversary Mixer or the MLC Trivia Night or both! Come out and connect with old friends or make some new ones!

Even though the 2014 Manitoba Libraries Conference early bird registration deadline has passed, it's not too late to  register!

Manitoba Libraries Conference 2014: Volunteer Call Out

 

Planning is well under way for this year's Manitoba Libraries Conference.  The conference is an opportunity for members of the library, archival, museum, records management, and educational communities to come together and discuss our successes, challenges and spend some time networking.  This year the conference is taking place May 12 – 14, 2014 at the Delta Hotel in Winnipeg.

RRC Library Information Technology 50th Anniversary / Library Training Program 25th Anniversary Celebration

 

Join us on Monday, May 12 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Delta Winnipeg Campaign Room (second floor) to celebrate 50 years of library training at Red River College! In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the RRC Library and Information Technology diploma program and the 25th anniversary of the College’s Continuing Education Library Training Program, we will be holding a mixer in conjunction with the Manitoba Libraries Conference.

The Manitoba Libraries Conference Program Committee is pleased to invite members of the library, archival, museum, records management, and educational communities to submit proposals for the Manitoba Libraries Conference, May 12 – 14, 2014 at the Delta Winnipeg.
 
Libraries in Manitoba are experiencing a number of challenges in the form of shrinking budgets, rapidly changing information technology, outdated facilities, and a pressing need to develop relevant collections and adequate resources for diverse user communities.
