*EXTENDED to June 15* --2015 MLA Scholarships

If you are a student or know of a student who qualifies, consider applying for one of the scholarships the MLA administers on an annual basis. 

 

Jean Thorunn Law Scholarship - Application Deadline EXTENDED: June 15, 2015

 

Available to eligible applicants who have worked in a Manitoba library and who choose to further their career by pursuing a graduate program in library and information science. Applicants must have been engaged in recent library work in Manitoba for twelve months.

 

John Edwin Bissett Scholarship - Application Deadline EXTENDED: June 15, 2015

 

Available to eligible undergraduates of the University of Manitoba who are pursuing a graduate program in library and information science. Applicants must have completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Manitoba.

Winnipeg Public Library and the University of Manitoba’s Neil John Maclean Health Sciences

Library won the Manitoba Library Association’s Library Innovation Award for the development of a LibGuide on health titled “CHECKUP: Consumer Health  Information for Patients and Their Families.”
